Set close to Hessle Road and Hull's docks, the Best Stand gave spectators a rare vantage point in an industrial part of the city, with the masts and waterlines of moored ships visible above its roofline on clear days.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eSupporters came to regard the stand's name with a degree of affectionate irony. The Boulevard was never a showpiece ground and the Best Stand, like the rest of the ground, was built for function rather than comfort. Even so, it served Hull FC through some of the club's greatest occasions, including the record crowd of 28,798 for a Challenge Cup tie against Leeds in March 1936 and the visit of the touring \"Invincibles\" Australian side in 1982, when 16,049 packed into the ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eHull FC left the Boulevard for the new Kingston Communications Stadium in January 2003.
